Leviathan and Anahita
The Leviathan and Anahita are a pair of bosses that can be fought at any point in the game, but are intended to be fought post-Plantera. While not required for progression, defeating The Leviathan and Anahita provides the player with money and useful items.
Spawn
To summon Anahita and thus begin the fight, the player must kill a ???, which spawns in the Ocean.
Anahita can also be summoned by using a Leviathan Detector in the Ocean.

Upon defeating the ??? or being summoned, Anahita appears and briefly dissipates into several illusions. It performs attacks from the following roster in succession:
Siren Illusions
- Anahita summons 6 rotating Siren Illusions around herself.
- Each Siren Illusion fires a Water Bolt at the player. Anahita herself fires a spread of 3 Water Bolts at the player.

- She will alternate between hovering to the left and right sides of the player during this attack.
Trident Charge
- Anahita charges directly at the player with her trident.
- Upon colliding with the surface of the Ocean or any tile, 2 circular waves of 30 Water Spears will be released outwards from the point of impact.
Upon reaching 50% (35,500) health, Anahita dives back into the Ocean. Moments later, the surface of the water starts churning furiously as the Leviathan emerges, creating two massive waves in its wake. Anahita will not be present for the duration of this subphase.
The Leviathan performs attacks from the following pool:
