The Brain of Cthulhu spawns with its heart exposed and is vulnerable throughout the fight. Its Creepers do not deal or take damage and are only present during certain attacks.

In its first phase, the Brain cycles through the following attacks in order:

Chase

  • The Brain of Cthulhu teleports to a random location near the player, summons 8 Creepers that orbit it in a circle, then moves towards the player at moderate speed.
  • Creepers fire Ichor projectiles is sync toward the player, roughly once per second. They glow blue shortly before firing.
    • An individual Creeper will not fire if it is within 17 tiles of the player.
  • This attack lasts for 5.3 seconds. However, it will be cancelled immediately if the Brain moves directly onto the player.

Blood Swoop

  • The Brain of Cthulhu teleports diagonally above the player, then dashes in a downward curve towards them. At the beginning of the dash, it fires a large burst of gravity-affected Ichor Geyser projectiles upward, tilted in the direction it dashes.

Creeper Blood Shots

  • The Brain of Cthulhu teleports to a random location near the player, summons 8 Creepers that orbit the player in a circle, and sits still for the duration of the attack.
  • Creepers fire gravity-affected Ichor Geyser projectiles upward and in sync, roughly twice per second. These projectiles are aimed ahead of the player.
    • An individual Creeper will not fire if it is under the player.
  • This attack lasts for 6.3 seconds.

  • After about 2 seconds, the Brain and its Creepers glow blue, and the boss summons a Psionic Orb above itself. The orb aims a blue line telegraph ahead of the player for about 1 second, then briefly stops moving it and fires a large Psionic Lightning Bolt along it. The orb also emits a ring of Electric Bolts each time it fires.

  • After spinning for 2 seconds, the Brain comes to a stop and waits for a brief moment, then dashes at the player.
