The Nuclear Terror is a Post-Moon Lord miniboss fought in the Sulphurous Sea.

Spawn

The Nuclear Terror spawns twice during the Tier 3 Acid Rain event, at 50% and 95%. It is fought solo and disables all other enemy spawns while it is alive.

The water of the Sulphurous Sea bubbles and the Nuclear Terror leaps out in a burst of radioactive mist, killing all surrounding lifeforms except the player and itself. It alternates between the following attacks:

Radioactive Slam

• The Nuclear Terror jumps above the player and slams down, releasing an X-shaped burst of Radioactive Steam.
• It repeats this attack 3 times before moving on to the next one.

Gamma Rain

• The Nuclear Terror leaps high into the air, bringing down a shower of Gamma Bursts for 1.5 seconds.

The Nuclear Terror transitions into its second phase at 50% (72,000) health, going still and violently flashing neon yellow. It cycles through its attack pattern from the following set:

Gamma Vomit

• The Nuclear Terror turns towards the player and sucks in Gamma Bursts from around them for 5 seconds.
• It then vomits out a massive spread of the Gamma Bursts in the direction of the player.

Radioactive Slam

• The Nuclear Terror jumps above the player and slams down, releasing an X-shaped burst of Radioactive Steam.
• It repeats this attack 2 times before moving on to the next one.

Irradiated Superbeam

• The Nuclear Terror goes still as pulses of energy build up around it, acting as a telegraph.
• It then horizontally fires a massive Irradiated Superbeam that moves upwards.
• The Nuclear Terror also fires out a radial spread of 18 Gamma Bursts during the attack.

The second phase cycles through the following attack pattern:

• Radioactive Slam
• Irradiated Superbeam
• Radioactive Slam
